{chalk paint}

 We were supposed to go and see a movie yesterday afternoon. But the sky got all dark and scary looking, so we decided that it was a better idea if we stayed home. And, of course, it never stormed. Never rained - not even a little drop. Annoying. And, lo and behold, the sun came out. So, I whipped up a batch of chalk paint, added two girls in bathing suits, and set them free on the driveway.

Of course, after about 1/2 a second, painting on the ground got old.
 So they started splattering paint all over each other.
 And then they just started painting each other.

 And then, they got SERIOUS.

 After that, I just set-up the slip and slide and let them wash themselves up.

Not too bad for a day that was going no where fast.....

In case you are curious - chalk paint is just equal amounts of corn starch and water with some food coloring. I used 1/4 c. each of water and cornstarch. And it washes off quite easily and doesn't stain at all. Perfect for my little mess makers!
