What is my Mom doing?


she is:
a) excited about black friday
b) excited about the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and broccoli casserole
c) imitating an insane person
d) showing us her Jazz Hands, while saying "Electricity!!"

Great Thanksgiving! So much to be thankful for.

And the answer is "D". My Mom had to say what she was Thankful for with Jazz Hands. I think she did a pretty good job - only after Kelly and I worked with her.

For a husband who works from home. Without him, Paige would have walked to the bus stop this morning in her PJ's - and it was a little too chilly for that.

Also, I would have to change that tire myself.

If you were to drive by our house after sun down, you would see this...

That is, if our timer is working. And we are outside, posing with Frosty. You never know.

I have been such a Grinch lately with holiday decorations - but I love twinkly lights outside. It's almost un-Grinched me. Maybe I'll put up more than my tree.....maybe.

{playtime with paige}

Some pictures I took of Paige while I was waiting for the kitchen floor to dry. She was pretending that the dining room chairs were her "house". I think my favorite part was when she went underneath the chairs and told me she was going down to the "basement". She pretended to sleep down there with her bunny, Rose - but not without her flashlight, (middle of the picture behind her) because basements are dark. she's got quite the imagination, that girl.

{quiet time}

It was WAY too quiet yesterday afternoon.....

{routine}

We have this new nighttime routine. Around 7pm the girls go upstairs and either shower/bath or get their pj's on. After that it's a dance party in my room. Last night there we were very lucky there were no injuries....two tired kids equals a lot of falling down while twirling. It's very cute...and I have totally been enjoying every second of it. I haven't yet brought my camera out during this, so you'll just have to trust me.

Tonight, while Paigey and I were just listening to music - i guess she was tired from last night - she wanted to try on my glasses....



pretty cute right? I tried to get Emily to try them on as well, but she wouldn't tear herself away from her book. NERD. :)



(btw: I took all those pictures of Paige without my glasses - DUH! But, just know that what I saw through the viewfinder was a total blurry mess...probably the same blurry mess Paige was seeing through my glasses!)

Oh lookie there  - she put her book down for a second....

And then of course, Emily wanted her turn at the camera.

I love our routine.
